    (see Plan Your Vacation below)

Letter from the House Director, Bettie Marie Daniels:

I will be glad to mail a brochure telling you about our Girl Scout house and all the opportunities here.    I will have the Chamber of Commerce mail you a packet also.  Etoquinnow Girl Scout house is a destination for troops or groups - not an event.

We are one block from the famous Buffalo Bill Historical Center - 5 museums under one roof - over 300,000 sq. feet.  ( www.bbhc.org )  You can do badge work or earn a patch there - and by planning ahead to work on these you can get a discounted fee.  (call Gretchen @ 307-578-4061 for more info)    We have a miniature golf course 1/2 block away - we are the rodeo capital of the world with a PRCA rodeo every night from Memorial to Labor Days.   We have a free street gun fight every night at 6 p.m. (3 blocks away)  We are 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park.  We are a town of only 9000 people so it is easy to get around - you can fly into Cody - or fly into Billings, Montana (110 miles away) and rent a car, but most people drive.  If you fly into Cody and don’t want to rent a car - there is a shuttle service @307-899-3960 for to and from the Scout House.  There is a Colt Bus to get you to sites and the rodeo (all day pass $1).  If you are planning to tour Yellowstone and don’t want to drive youself call Grub Stake Expeditions for more information @ 307-527-6316.  He is a 3rd generation Yellowstone guide.

Our house has one large room (that can be divided) with a stage - two bathrooms (one with a shower) and a small kitchen.  It rents for $2 per person, per day - minimum $20 per night.   We do not provide cots or sleeping bags so they would have to be brought in.    There is a trolley ride that takes an hour historical tour.  We have several water raft companies to float the river.  We are 90 miles form the World's largest hot water spring with swimming pools in Thermopolis.      There are many other attractions.  Wyoming is wide open spaces so you count time by hours not miles.   Yellowstone is slower driving.  I would be glad to give advice on an interesting trip.

You can also see our house and information about horse trips at www.horseworkswyoming.com.

Please send me your mailing address for the brochure.

Thank you for your interest.
