OVERVIEW of PROGRAMS
|
|
Welcome to HorseWorks' authentic working horse and cattle ranch. Whether you are a beginner, or an advanced rider, you will enjoy our three- and four-week Working Ranch Internships. Have the unique ability to ride a variety of horses and to ride horses appropriate to your ability. A beginner will start with a beginner's horse and progress through our string of horses as her riding improves. An advanced rider continues to progress through the string of horses, as well. Our manditory arrival orientation helps us match you with appropriate horses from the time you arrive until you leave. Lessons are included at no additional charge. In an instructional, working ranch environment, you will enjoy time in the saddle with cattle and on scenic rides geared toward your experience level and interests. Too old to learn? Owner Nate Brown (wrangling horses in the above photo) is 88 years young, still riding every day and learning from every horse and every person he meets. For details on 2009 Internships Session dates, see Our Programs and please call or email for details and availability.
All prices include cabin
accommodations, a choice of great horses, as much riding as you want,
down-time around the campfire, yummy food and lots of it. Expect basic
comforts and services. We are a working ranch, not a dude outfit,
so fancy is not
our game. Towns within an hour's drive offer the chance to soak
your tired muscles in the hot springs at the end of the trail, visit
world-class Western museums, tour Yellowstone National Park, shop and go white water rafting.
NOTICE: Some scheduling influences are beyond our control such as weather and BLM decisions. We do our best to maintain schedules, but be prepared to roll with the punches. |
